Sometimes I really struggle with what to title a piece.  This was one of those times.  I made a rule for myself to never call a piece "untitled" although this is really only one tiny step off from that.  After days of staring at it I finally gave up.   Although it doesn't show well in the picture, I used a combination of matte and glossy varnishes on this.  The lower black section and upper red section are both done in high-gloss finish while the rest is the matte finish.  This was created for the Baby Canvases III show at The Soundry, shown in December 2011.
