This was created for the Baby Canvases II show at The Soundryheld during July 2010.  It was inspired by Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead).

The Baby Canvases II show was particularly challenging for me.  First, canvanses are rather foreign to me as I don't paint.  Second, these are very, very tiny making them even more daunting.  I decided to challenge myself by purchasing 20 canvases and, come hell or high water, I was turning in 20 canvases to the show. Admittedly some were a total failure but the experience was well worth it.  I experimented with materials I hadn't used in ages, used some in ways I have not before and even tried my hand at painting.  The pieces were well recieved and I sold well over half of them during the course of the show.
